Another WP7 Developer Phone!

Today there’s another look at a Windows Phone 7 device, this time from LG, and it’s a qwerty slider. After the initial slew of device reviews, which featured the Samsung Taylor, it seems there’s a new kid on the block as well. We knew there were going to be a few different form factors out there, and it’s good to see them rolling out.

There’s a really nice video of the interface after the break, from a WInPho developer, and user. I was starting to think this may be something I’d want to avoid, but it looks like there’s a lot to like in Windows Phone 7.

Why I like this look at the OS is the nonchalant way it’s presented, there is no breathless earnestness, but a true look from someone that is going to/ is developing for the platform, and views the device as a tool.I’ve been looking at lot’s of news about WP7, but I actually got a little bit re enervated about Windows Phone 7 by this simple video look.

Whilst this may be slated for a holiday release in the US, we probably won’t see WinPho7 in Oz before the first quarter 2011. Considering Zune hasn’t made it down here, and Xbox live is also a minor player in the wider gaming market, how will WP7 impact the local market with redundant features? If Microsoft have a real competitive OS for mobile, that they think will rival the iPhone, for ease of use and consumer uptake, shouldn’t they rollout all of the services included in the OS worldwide? Seems the only market that matters exists in the northern hemisphere!
