Twikini updates to Version 2

twikini_ui

I’ve been using Twikini on and off for a while, Today I picked up on quick bit of news from win4mobiles .com that a major update had quietly dropped into the windows phone arena. It’s a light application, client for Twitter on Windows Phone, but it’s heavy hitting as far as keeping up with all of the features Twitter is introducing. What’s really major with this update is support for the new retweet feature, and geotagging. It’s working quite smoothly for me, since I updated, and going from the mobile to the PC, all of it seems to mesh.

    • New: Ability to geotag your tweets. Important: Please read about Twitter’s new geotagging feature, which is disabled by default.
    • New: Support for the official Retweet feature that Twitter recently introduced. Important: please read about how retweeting on Twitter works now (this has changed from how it used to work in the past).
    • New: You can now see a full list of followers and friends for any user (including yourself). When viewing a user’s profile, click Menu > Followers/Following.

I’ve lamented the fact that all of the changes to Twitter, have left most of the Windows Phone Twitter clients lacking, but it seems the team at Trinket software are on to it. If you are in to Twitter and Windows Phone, you’ll want to try this out.
